Module-Specific Disclaimers
1. Salary & Income Tax
Calculations are based on statutory HMRC rates, National Insurance thresholds, Scottish tax bands, and Student Loans Company rules.
Actual payroll deductions on your payslip may vary due to employer payroll timing, emergency tax codes, cumulative vs non-cumulative payroll basis (Week 1 / Month 1), taxable benefits in kind (P11D), or bespoke pension arrangements.
2. Credit Cards & 0% Transfers
Repayment schedules and interest calculations simulate standard monthly compounding and UK credit card minimum repayment rules.
Calculon does not guarantee eligibility for 0% balance transfer cards, credit limits, or representative APR rates offered by specific commercial lenders.
3. Car Finance (PCP / HP) & Loans
Simulations model standard Consumer Credit Act (CCA 1974) early settlement actuarial formulas and Section 99/100 50% voluntary termination rules.
Official settlement figures and excess mileage / condition charges must always be requested directly from your finance provider.
4. Stamp Duty (SDLT, LBTT, LTT)
Property tax estimates reflect standard residential rates for England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales, including first-time buyer relief and additional property surcharges.
Complex transactions (mixed-use properties, non-resident surcharges, linked transactions) should be verified with your conveyancing solicitor.
5. Compound Interest & ISAs
Investment projections assume steady annualized returns for illustrative modelling. Real market investments fluctuate, and past performance does not guarantee future results.
Your capital may be at risk when investing. Always check your ISA allowance status with HMRC or your provider.
6. VAT & Flat Rate Scheme
VAT computations are calculated for standard 20% and reduced 5% UK rates, alongside Flat Rate Scheme sector benchmarks.
Business accounting and official quarterly VAT return filings should always be conducted in accordance with HMRC Making Tax Digital rules or via a qualified accountant.
Accuracy & Professional Consultation
While every effort is made to maintain complete accuracy and update rates in line with statutory UK legislation and annual Budgets, Calculon makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the completeness or suitability of the calculations for legal or commercial commitments.
